What do you do when you see someone famous? I haven't run into famous people very often and I'm never sure what to do. I hate to stare or go talk to them like you are friends or anything. Is it okay to speak? Is it okay to tell them you like their work? Is it okay to ask to have your picture taken with them?
Seems like famous people might sometimes like to be treated like normal people.
Maybe it depends on the location. Like if Tom Hanks is sitting down at a restaurant with his family, perhaps it's better to leave him alone.
But if Teller is walking around in the Atlantic City hotel where is he performing that night, maybe you could say something to him. He probably won't say anything back.
Or if, say, Charles Barkley is walking around in Target, maybe you could ask him for a picture. I'm not sure though.
So when I passed him and he asked me how I was doing, I just said I was fine.
It seemed like that was okay.
