A thief in the night

In my last post, I wrote about how I had started wearing a mouth guard at night because of all the jaw clenching while I sleep.

Wednesday night, as I was getting into bed, I reached over to the night stand to grab the mouth guard and it wasn't there. I turned on the light to see if it had fallen to the floor. Nothing.

I went to the bathroom to see if I had left it there. Nope. Then the other bathroom. Nothing.

Then I started to figure out what happened.

I can't prove it, but I think that a certain dog, who isn't allowed in the bedroom but snuck in anyway, was intrigued by the smell of saliva and stole it.

There has been no evidence of a struggle but I suspect foul play.
